Welcome to the Green Glove family! We're thrilled you have chosen to join our sustainability journey by purchasing the world's #1 paper towel replacement.
Due to its reusability, every Green Glove is designed to replace 4000 paper towels. With typical use, one Green Glove should last up to 4 months before needing to be replaced.
Green Glove is made from a patented open-cell material called BioFoam™. Thousands of small pores allow Green Glove to have a surface area much larger than the eye can see. If one glove was flattened out it would have the same surface area as most living rooms.
Green Glove's powerful open-cell network collects and neutralizes dirt and germs instead of just pushing them around. This delivers a far better clean than any paper or cloth product can provide.
Best of all, once Green Glove dries after each use there is no odor left behind!
Green Glove will work with any existing disinfectant or cleaner that you currently use in your home.
Green Glove is specifically designed to be used on hard surfaces in kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms:
Green Glove is 100% safe on the following surfaces: ceramic, porcelain, laminate, granite, marble, brick, stone, plastic, stainless steel, wood, and butcher block.
Green Glove should not be used on the following surfaces: heavily textured brick or stone, or any abrasive surface that could damage or rip the open-cell material.
Stainless Steel - Green Glove can be used on stainless steel but it may leave streaks after use. We recommend gently cleaning with Green Glove using a light amount of cleaner/disinfectant, then immediately drying the stainless steel with a soft cloth rag or towel.
Walls - Green Glove may or may not be ideal for walls depending on how the open-cell material interacts with the wall surface texture. If you wish to use it on walls we recommend testing it in a small and unnoticeable area first.
Floors - Green Glove is safe for use on flooring surfaces. It is recommended to gently clean with Green Glove using a light amount of cleaner/disinfectant.
Spills - Green Glove can be used for any spill, including thicker substances. After cleaning up the spill, wash the debris out of your Green Glove in a sink using soap and water, then let it air dry. In the case of larger and thicker spills, we recommend washing Green Glove in a dishwasher or washing machine (instructions for washing are below).
Step 1: Dampen Green Glove with a quick rinse under water
Before using Green Glove it’s best to give it a quick rinse. Then wring out any excess water so the glove is slightly damp before using.
Step 2: Use any EPA-registered *or* Green cleaning product
Most store-bought cleaners are EPA-registered (e.g. Lysol, Pine-Sol). Green cleaners include products such as Seventh Generation, Mrs. Meyers, Dr. Bronner’s, Common Good, etc. Either of these types of cleaners will work with Green Glove. Be sure to follow the instructions on the cleaner label.
For best results: Spray or apply cleaner or disinfectant on the area to be cleaned, and also spray or apply the cleaner on your Green Glove.
Important: Be sure not to overuse your cleaner or disinfectant since Green Glove requires 75% LESS cleaning product than paper towels to be effective.
Step 3: Wipe back and forth with medium speed & light pressure
Good news: you do not need to "scrub hard" with Green Glove.
Since there are thousands of pores within the open-cell network waiting to collect dirt and germs, simply glide Green Glove back and forth across the surface with light to regular pressure and it will do its job.
Step 4: Wash Green Glove after each use
Green Glove can be washed in any of the following ways:
If you are disinfecting or sanitizing be sure to wash Green Glove immediately after using it with one of the 3 methods listed above.
If you are not disinfecting (e.g cleaning dishes) simply rinse out Green Glove after using it, then let it air dry. Wash it after every few uses with one of the 3 methods listed above.
After cleaning spills it is recommended to wash Green Glove in a dishwasher or washing machine. Dry on low to medium heat, or air dry.
A note about dishwashers: The wash and dry cycles of most dishwashers runs between 130-170 F. Green Glove can handle heat up to 180 F. If for any reason your dishwasher heats higher than 180 F it will melt your Green Glove. If you have any concerns about extreme heat we recommend using a washing machine with warm or cold water, or washing by hand.
Important: After a couple weeks of regular use Green Glove will show dirt and debris remaining within the cell network. The discoloration you see is 100% safe since the debris has been trapped and neutralized.
Step 5: Store your Green Glove
Allow Green Glove to dry after each use.
The best place to store Green Glove is on top of an existing cleanser bottle near or under your sink - or on your newly vacated paper towel holder. :)
Note: It is fine to use Green Glove again even if it has not fully dried.
Your Green Glove is biodegradable. Once the open-cell pores have become soiled and worn after approx. 4 months of use, simply throw out Green Glove with your regular household trash and replace it with a new one.
The patented material is designed to break down quickly once inside a landfill so you are contributing to a greatly reduced waste footprint!
